Sitcom Pilot to Feature Film: Wok In Progress

What are we currently working on?

A Movie About Wine, Love & Literature - In China. Wok In Progress - A bilingual dramatic-comedy feature film set in China. Promo Art

What started out as a sitcom project with a self-funded pilot, and a couple of episodes to be funded by our successful Kickstarter campaign, has become a dramatic-comedy feature film set in China. Wok In Progress is about three friends from America who thought running away from their problems to China was a good idea.

Currently in soft pre-production while the screenplay is being refined by, screenwriter and actor, Murray Walker, our focus is on casting, location scouting and finding ways to augment the budget. We’re currently in talks with some pretty cool Chinese brands about working together. Check the official Wok In Progress website for updates, and please contact us if you want to get involved.

红线 (The Red Thread) A 35 Min. 4K Short Film Set in Beijing

Love, destiny, Austria, China and red thread come together in this delightful short film commissioned by the Austrian government in 2011 to commemorate their 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations with China.

Ad Valorem International produced this short film along with the Austrian Embassy Commercial Section. Victor Muh developed the original idea, produced and directed it. This version is the Director’s Cut.

This short film features a dozen cast members, 20 locations, 50 crew members, and about 100 product placements related to Austria. Guess who funded us?

Lumière d’Espoir: 2K Micro Film Shot in Beijing Power Plant

A girl. A door. Hope.

This 2K micro film was produced in 2010 inspired by Liu Lu’s collection of the same name. It was filmed with a RED One in an abandoned power plant on the outskirts of Beijing, China, and funded by Citroën China. We shot the entire film in one, long day with a shoestring budget while fending off the bureaucrats running the facility who wanted nothing more than to break their word and kick us out.

The Circle of Circle: 4K Beijing Nightclub Promo Film

A short, promo film for the launch of Circle Club, a nightclub in Beijing, China. We were able to shoot this in 1.5 days at in the Spring of 2014 with a shoestring budget despite the weather, an uncooperative nightclub management, and being in China. The nightclub’s marketing team, led by Jolly, were the only ones who believed in the project. Without them, we would have never been able to make it happen.
Synopsis: A girl finds a place where people are trendsetters, not trendies.
